The Canadian Council of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaah (CCAS) and its affiliate mosques and Islamic centers will be holding a memorial service and collective prayers on Saturday, Feb. 4, for the victims of the Quebec City mosque shooting.
The non-political interfaith gathering will be held at 7 p.m. at the centre located at 200 Advance Blvd. in Brampton.
A number of elected officials, dignitaries, imams and leaders of various faiths are likely to attend.
The memorial service is to honour and share the deep sense of loss being experienced by the Canadian Muslim community. It is also to demonstrate unity among people of all faiths and cultures in the Canadian society.
