Cricket for Haiti underway

A three-week cricket tournament to raise funds for Haiti cricket has gotten underway in Toronto, to raise funds for the disaster victims.
Cricket Champions League launched the LSM Insurance Cricket for Haiti last weekend at the North Albion Collegiate Institute to ensure a citywide cricket initiative to raise awareness and funds for the victims.
Some 200 players including under-19 and women cricket players attended the opening ceremony.
Mohan (Mike) Kendall, President of Ontario Cricket Association (OCA), Jim Persad, Secretary of OCA, Rita Jethi, Director of Ontario Women's Cricket, Lorne Marr, President of LSM Insurance, Aman Kapur, Senior Consultant, LSM Insurance, and Priti Lamba, Conservative Party's nominated federal candidate, were present on the occasion.
Atul Ahuja, CEO of the Champions League, informed that the Haiti cricket will be played over three weeks, with the finals to be held Mar 7.
