It was Bollywood Stars on Parade Revisited last weekend at Brampton's Lester B. Pearson.

Among the highlights:

- Mohammed Rafi once again wove his magic with Kahin Aaj Kisise Mohabbat Na Ho Jaye; and

- A young Zeenie Baby - complete with guitar and oversized glasses - informed the appreciative audience: Chura Liya Hai Tumne... rendered a la Asha Bhosle.

It was the fourth round of Vocal Contest 2010 organized by Swar Sadhana Music Lovers Club, with the accompanying dance and comedy turns on stage.

The programme, ably hosted by Ketul Raval and Nirali Panchal, had the top nine participants presenting memorable Bollywood numbers on a Romantic theme.

For the record, the judges declared six of them safe. The bottom three participants received yellow cards and were given another chance to perform. Of the three, only one remained on the bench and the other two passed the hurdle.

The Singer of the Day was Rafi fan Rajkumar Sharma, with all the other singers also rendering memorable performances.

As per the contest's elimination rules, whoever receives three yellow cards gets eliminated from the contest.

Veteran contestants from Vocal Contest 2009 Dr Bharat Sharma, Nishith Pandya, Shalom Patrick and Himanshu Merchant as well as guest singer Anusha also presented songs to encourage and motivate the participants.

In addition, dance group Desi Dhamaka from Scarborough and the students of Swar Sadhana Music School also performed romantic dance sequences, while Jay Bhavsar offered the comedy turn.

The next elimination Round # 5 with the theme Vasant Bahar will be held Saturday, Mar 20, from 2-4pm, at the same venue (150 Central Park Drive, Brampton).
