Performing in a Bollywood blockbuster concert at the Air Canada Centre and watching cricket as a spectator in the City of Brampton does not make much difference for Loy Mendonsa - Bollywood's high-flying musician who has produced countless hits over the years.

The world famous music trio of Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy were in Toronto this weekend for the 'Inspiration Aman Ki Asha' concert, along with singing sensations Richa Sharma, new generation Pakistani ustaad Shafqat Amanat Ali Khan and Mahalaxmi Iyer.

After entertaining the Toronto audience until late evening, the next morning Loy happened to appear at the under-19 inaugural match of the Champions Cricket League at Flower City Cricket Campus in Brampton.

"Yesterday's show (in Toronto) was great, but I enjoy both... performing at a big stage as a singer to watching a cricket match as an spectator makes no difference for me," Loy told Focus after inaugurating the league.

"I have played cricket and am a great fan," said Loy. "Both cricket and singing bring so much joy to me.

"And it's been great to be here in Brampton. Everything is perfect and I am really enjoying it. The weather is ideal, people are fantasticâ?¦ I love to be in Canada," Loy added.

The celebrity's presence at the inaugural competition between Brampton Cricket League and Canadian Professional Cricket League also encouraged the boys.

"We feel honoured to be part of a competition where a celebrity like Loy is chief guest," said Araf Shahid of Brampton Cricket League. "It is good for players as well as for the game of cricket."

Brampton Cricket League incidentally won the match by 33 runs.

The trio of Shankar-Ehsan-Loy has the credit of producing many blockbuster films' music such as Dil Chahta Hai (2001), Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003), Bunty Aur Babli (2005), Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006), Don - The Chase Begins Again (2006), Taare Zameen Par (2007), Rock On!! (2008), My Name is Khan (2010) and Karthik Calling Karthik (2010).â?¨

The group last weekend began North American 'Inspiration Aman Ki Asha' tour with performances in New Jersey July 17 and in Toronto July 18.

The North American tour is now scheduled to perform in Chicago (July 23), San Francisco (July 24), Washington DC (July 31), Los Angeles (Aug 1), Houston (Aug 6), Atlanta (Aug 7) and Boston (Aug 8).
