Investigators from the Peel Regional Police Homicide Bureau are asking for help in trying to identify the skeletal human remains found in north Brampton Monday afternoon.
The remains are those of a man between the ages of 20 and 40 years, who had black or dark brown hair. Police believe the remains “have been exposed” for the past year.
Several items of clothing were found with the remains, and are believed to have belonged to him. Rock and Republic jeans, size 30-32, a black Prada messenger bag and Yojhi Yamamoto running shoes, size nine, were found.
Police released pictures of items resembling those found.
The remains were found just before 1:30 p.m. Monday by a passerby out for a walk in a wooded area around Bovaird Drive and Heart Lake Road.
The cause of death and identity of the man has not been determined. Police have labelled it a “suspicious death” pending further investigation.
Anyone with information is asked to call homicide investigators at 905-453-2121, ext. 3205.
